In-Patient

Each year approximately 200 adults with addictions are served within our 122 W. Hill Street, Champaign residential program. There are separate wings for males and females. Each person receives an individual assessment, based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Placement Criteria and a subsequent Individualized Treatment Plan. The basic treatment is a structured 28-Day program though some clients may stay longer, based on need. Individual counseling and Group treatment is provided by licensed or credentialed addictions professionals. Nutrition education, art and recreational therapy, social skills, anger management, health and wellness, family therapy, drug education, introduction to 12-Step Recovery, linkage and referral to community services, housing, education and employment, HIV education, testing and counseling and relapse prevention are elements of Prairie Center’s residential program. Some clients may receive medical care from agency nurses or the Medical Director. Persons successfully completing their treatment program may transition into an Extended Care phase which allows clients to continue living in this supportive residential environment while pursuing employment or school. These individuals continue to work with a counselor on sobriety-based goals and pay rent, based upon their income.

Prairie Center offers a safe, supportive environment for healing the body and mind, and a starting point on the path to Recovery.
