Where life is realized

Outpatient Program

The Prairie Center Outpatient Program (OP) services are specially tailored to each client's level of clinical need and are designed to help the client achieve changes in his/her substance-using behaviors.  Treament addresses major lifestyle, attitudinal, and behavioral issues that have the potential to effect the goals of treatment or to impair the individual's ability to cope with major life tasks without the non-medical use of alcohol or other drugs.

Outpatient Program services can include individual and group counseling, educational groups, opportunities for family involvement, and ancillary services.  Outpatient Program services are offered during the day and in the evenings at our Danville and Urbana locations.

Individualized treatment plans are developed in consultation with each client.  Your treatment plan will include any current problems you are having, treatment goals, and measurable treatment objectives.

The duration of treatment varies with the severity of the individual's illness and his/her responses to treatment.

Licensed or certified counselors at the Prairie Center are specially trained to use a variety of therapies and treatment models, including:

  • Motivational Interviewing and Motivational Enhancement Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • 12-Step Facilitation Therapy
  • The Matrix Model
  • Reality Therapy
  • Relapse Prevention
