Where life is realized

Federal Bureau of Prisons Program

In addition to substance abuse treatment services, the Prairie Center has a contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to provide halfway house services for federal inmates.  The Prairie Center staff provides intensive case management services and monitoring of these inmates as they transition back into the community.  Many of these clients participate in the Prairie Center's treatment services to continue building on the recovery skills they learned while incarcerated.  These clients receive additional support in their job search and in finding housing within Central Illinois.  More information on the special aspects of this program can be found on the Bureau of Prisons website.

The Prairie Center realizes that this transition into the community can often be challenging, and our experienced staff is here to help and to listen.  The Prairie Center works directly with community members to educate and keep them informed about this program through quarterly Community Advisory Board meetings.  If you are interested in learning more about this program or the Community Advisory Board, please contact Charles Lyons at 217-356-7576 for more information.
