In 2008 Prairie Center celebrates 40 years of service in east-central Illinois. Exciting activities will be held each month to celebrate this milestone.
On Monday, April 21, 2008 Prairie Center will be hosting a Community Forum on Substance Abuse at the Park Inn 2408 N. Cunningham Ave., Urbana, IL from 10am-12pm. Area legislators will be present to hear concerns from the community, so please come out and make your voice heard! Learn more about Substance Abuse Funding in Illinois.
Get your clubs ready! On Monday, June 9, 2008 Prairie Center will be hosting our 9th Annual Golf Outing! This will take place at the Urbana Golf and Country Club. For more information on how to take part in this enjoyable fundraiser, please call (217) 693-3053.
Prairie Center is pleased to welcome a new CEO, Mr. Bruce Suardini. Mr.Suardini brings twenty years experience in the substance abuse field. For ten years he served as Executive Director/CEO of Great Lakes Recovery Center Inc. in Marquette, Michigan. Prior to that, he held the position of Clinic Director for seven years at the same organization. Mr. Suardini has served on numerous civic and state councils and boards including the State of Michigan Substance Abuse Agency and the National Association of Addiction Treatment Centers.
Prairie Center Wish List - Supplies currently needed for our Residential and Detox Unit are: Hand Towels, Bath Towels, Wash Cloths, Twin Size Bedspreads, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Chess Sets, and Books about Recovery.
