Below is a list of benefits provided by Prairie Center to all staff, full-time and part-time, with eligibility time-lines. Prairie Center makes every attempt to provide comprehensive and generous benefits to our staff. Additionally, Prairie Center Administration is committed to reviewing benefits periodically, and making improvements where and when feasible.
Annual Leave – 15 days/year for full-time employees & 7.5 days/yr for part-time employees; accrual begins after completion of 9 months of employment
Sick Leave – 12 days/year for FT & 6 days/yr for PT; accrual begins after 90 days
Personal Leave – 3 days/year for FT & 1.5 days/yr for PT; accrual begins after 90 days
Holidays – 7 holidays/year for everyone; eligibility begins on first day of employment
Medical Insurance – FT employees are eligible on the first of the month AFTER 30 days of full-time employment
Benefit Credit – A monthly benefit credit is given to those employees who can show proof of coverage elsewhere
Dental Insurance – FT employees are eligible on the first of the month AFTER 30 days of full-time employment
Life Insurance – company paid; pays the dependent 1x the employee’s annual salary; all employees working 20 hours or more/week are eligible on the first of the month AFTER 30 days of full-time employment
Supplemental Insurance – AFLAC; employee paid; ALL employees are eligible to
participate; make arrangements with the AFLAC representative during “open enrollment” in December each year
Section 125 - Pre-Tax Flexible Benefit Plan – allows employees to set aside pre-tax
dollars for medical & child care expenses; available to employees working 20 hours/week or more; sign-up during “open enrollment” in December each year
Benefits Continuation (COBRA) – employees may elect to continue their medical and/or dental coverage under COBRA when leaving employment with Prairie Center
Professional Liability and Malpractice Insurance – company paid; pays $1 million for individual & $3 million for aggregate for ALL employees
Retirement Plan – 401K with company match; ALL employees are eligible to participate AFTER 1 year of employment; Prairie Center matches dollar-for-dollar up to 5% of gross income; sign-up during “open enrollment” in June & December each year
Jury Duty – Prairie Center will pay ALL employees a maximum of two weeks for jury duty in a 12 month period
Time Off to Vote – Prairie Center will grant up to one hour of paid time off to vote to a full-time employee who is unable to vote in an election due to their Prairie Center work schedule
Training Opportunities – Prairie Center offers a variety of internal & external training opportunities to all staff; some trainings award Continuing Educational Units (CEUs)
Current Openings at Prairie Center:
LPNs or RNs – PRN positions for LPNs or RNs at the
Treatment Technicians – Full-time and part-time at the Champaign facility working with clients in an addiction treatment setting. CNA, EMT, or experience with residential addictions treatment preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Youth & Adult Addictions Counselors - Full-time & part-time openings for counselors working out of the Urbana or Danville, Illinois offices with youth and/or adults. Requires assessment skills, good individual and group counseling skills, teamwork and timely and accurate documentation. Bachelor’s Degree required, but Master’s Degree preferred. Needs certification as a CADC or clinical license or the ability to obtain within a 2 year period.
